At the heart of Juilliard’s brass department is an extraordinary faculty that includes distinguished soloists and principal chairs of the New York Philharmonic, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, and other leading ensembles, as well as the members of the American 黄铜 Quintet, one of Juilliard’s resident faculty ensembles. They serve as teachers, role models, and mentors for students in the department. As a brass student, you will have ample opportunities to perform in one or more of the school’s numerous orchestras, chamber groups (including, for 长号手s, the 长号 Choir), and new music ensembles.
